On Thursday, December 12th, VIP hosted an event for their VIP Breast Cancer Foundation, in conjunction with MD Anderson Cancer Center, at The Woodlands – St. Luke's Hospital. This annual event is held to support and give strength to women who are currently fighting or have survived their battle with breast cancer and to help pay for one of those individual's medical bills. Many "Breast Friends" from the MD Anderson Cancer Center were in attendance. Sonia Clayton, President and CEO of Virtual Intelligence Providers, began the evening with encouraging words and turned the time over to Cory Conner, a cancer survivor, to share her story and provide additional hope to these great women.
Tracie Mann, from My Body Restore, auctioned off a free laser-tattoo removal and colon cleanse. The "Breast Friends", MD Anderson and VIP volunteers enjoyed a nice dinner and sang and danced to 60's themed music the rest of the event. Additionally, volunteers from the Westfield Ward Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints presented tied fleece blankets and knitted hats for the women battling cancer to wear during their chemotherapy sessions.
A special thank you to the MD Anderson Cancer Center staff, Virtual Intelligence Providers volunteers, LDS Relief Society, Alfonso Ayala from ABannersInc Services, and Tracie Mann and the My Body Restore team.
