DIVERSITY PROGRAM

This program is designed to foster the promotion, growth and development of minority, women and other diverse owned enterprises. We're proud of our commitment to diversity, and that includes the suppliers we work with.

VIP's Supplier Diversity program's goal is to foster the promotion, growth and development of minority and diverse vendors. The program has played an important role in developing VIP’s diverse suppliers and to help determine whether their products or services fit within VIP’s corporate strategies.

INVESTING IN EDUCATION

VIP’s Office of Supplier Diversity focuses on contracting with educating operations, investing in and mentoring diverse suppliers. For example, we have created the VIP Alliance to conduct a Supplier Development and Empowerment. In 2012, more than 50 small vendors participated in the sessions which were led by a female, Hispanic minority: Sonia Clayton, VIP president and CEO.

• MBE: An MBE that is located in the United States, is at least 51% owned and controlled by a minority person (or persons) who is a citizen of the United States and is operated on a for profit basis.
• WBE: An WBE that is located in the United States, is at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman (or women) who is a citizen of the United States and is operated on a for profit basis.
• VBE: A VBE that is located in the United States, is at least 51% owned and controlled by a veteran (or veterans) who is a citizen of the United States and is operated on a for profit basis.
