2016 LSC Scholarship Awards Luncheon
Houston, TX (March 31,2016)- Virtual Intelligence Providers, LLC (VIP) together with the Lone Star College (LSC) Foundation celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Foundation providing scholarships and supporting programs to the students. LSC scholarships have enabled thousands of Lone Star students to attend class and receive degrees who otherwise would have been unable to do so. This year 40 organizations donated over $2 million, allowing 108 students to receive scholarships.
Each year that University Park has been open, the LSC Foundation has been able to increase the number of scholarship recipients. Shah Ardalan, President of Lone Star College- University Park, thanked all of the donors and once again honored VIP for its annual donation to the LSC Scholarship Fund.
VIP, through its Education Foundation, gives back to the community by sponsoring multiple scholarships. The scholarships are awarded on various criteria reflecting the values and goals of both VIP and LSC; and provide students with an opportunity to finish their education and reach their goals in life. Glen Bucher, VIP Director of Operations, handed out the scholarships made possible by VIP’s contribution. The recipient student scholars are: Carolina Sofia Espinoza, Anita Valentina Garcia, Kristela Elizabeth Guillen, and Stephanie Gloribel Maldanado, who all received the scholarships based on winning essay.
