Verizon Wireless Business Success Forum

HOUSTON – This past November 13th, Sonia Clayton performed both as host and co-presenter at the Verizon sponsored Business Success Forum, an event held at the Hilton Americas Hotel-Houston-downtown. The Business Success Forum brought together Small & Medium-Sized Business Owners and Entrepreneurs in a session where they enjoyed an opportunity to share, learn, interact and network for a good half of the day.

Clayton, aside from introducing a healthy number of distinguished invitees and fellow presenters, inspired the audience with her very own story of success, including details of her rather unusual initiation as an entrepreneur. Her opening remarks were based out of a presentation, Breaking Apart From the Competition, through which she aptly explained how she made her firm successful by tapping into the area of business technology, a field arcane and virtually unexplored, right at the time of her firm’s inception, for a Latino female business operator. The session closed auspiciously with an animated raffle where several guest won tablets and phones, all a courtesy of sponsor Verizon.

Such events are really important, Sonia insists, “As they allow for like-minded business types to come together in an atmosphere where we can hear from one another. We do it friendly and dispassionately, yet informatively; so to apprise ourselves of progress, and learn of trends and new initiatives for the benefit of our own audiences. More exciting yet, this type of gathering can turn many a times into a matrix, one allowing us to identify smarter approaches to contribute further to the future, and to the success, of our city, our state of Texas, and this great nation—we all call home: the United States of America”.
