VIP’s President & CEO at Latino Perspective Conference @ Rice University

HOUSTON – Sonia Clayton, Virtual Intelligence Providers’ President and CEO, had the privilege and honor of addressing the Latino Perspective Conference, a gathering of Houston’s most prominent business and educational leaders of Hispanic and Latin American origin. The conference was held at the Grand Hall of Rice University where important topics such as education, business, social advancement and opportunities for the Latino community were discussed in detailed.

Mrs. Clayton shared the panel with other distinguished expositors such as: Dr. William Flores, President of University of Houston-Downtown, Dr. Laura Murillo, President of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Mr. David Armijo, H&R Block’s National Director of Multicultural Initiatives, and Claudia Aguirre-Vasquez, Senior VP and Chief Program Officer of Neighborhood Centers. Moderation of the event was provided by Martha C. Kattan, Univision Texas’ Regional News Director. This event was organized by SUCESOS (Hispanic Media) Mr. Pedro Arevalo, Editor In Chief.

During the event Mrs. Clayton, who was recently named one of Houston’s Most Influential Woman, discussed one of the most innovated partnerships in this city, the LONE STAR COLLEGE – VIP Partnership. As one of its kind, the partnership represents a pioneering effort between a Small- (Hispanic) Minority-Woman Owned Business and an Institution of Higher Education, Lone Star College-University Park under the leadership of President Shah Ardalan. The partnership model captured the attention of the audience and international leaders who were present at this event.
