Scholarship Awards Luncheon

Scholarship award recipients were honored at a luncheon ceremony on March 21 at LSC-University Park. Lone Star College Foundation Executive Director Darcy Mingoia presented 66 LSC-University Park students with scholarship awards and thanked their generous donors.

They were the Bob and Darcy Mingoia Endowment, the Caldwell Companies Endowment, the LSC-University Park President’s Endowment, the Mary Anne Grasso Foundation Endowment, the Noble Energy, Inc. Endowment, the OTS Friends & Family Endowment, the Precision Task Group Endowment, the Feldman Family Endowment, the Foreman Family Endowment, the Student Success Scholarship Endowment funded by Tellepsen, OC+A, Morris, JE Dunn and HOK, the William J. and Olive H. Upton Endowment, the Canyon Gate Endowment, the Brian Heisler Endowment, the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce Foundation Thomas Hetherington Scholarship Endowment, the Pearl Fincher Endowment, the Seth and Dianne Sharr Endowment, the John Anthony Farinacci Memorial Scholarship, the VIP Education Foundation and VIP/Epilogue Special Scholarships, the David and Jean Wiley Foundation, the Follett Scholarships, the Golf, Gala and Foundation Board Scholarships, the Major General Charles A. Hines Memorial Scholarship, the R.E. Brooks Estate Trust Special Scholarships.

Luncheon speakers included President Shah Ardalan, Faculty Senate President Daria Willis, Caldwell Companies Endowment donor Fred Caldwell and recipient speaker Mariela McGee, who spoke about the impact of an education at LSC-University Park on her future.
