Lone Star College System and Virtual Intelligence Providers partnership to benefit local global corporations
Lone Star College System (LSCS) and Virtual Intelligence Providers, LLC (VIP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish an innovative educational and commercial partnership to align corporate training needs with higher education programs.
Houston-based VIP provides project support, customized solutions, tools and resources in technology, organizational development and professional services on a global level. The company has received more than 20 awards of excellence, including state and national recognition. Most recently, VIP was named a FAST 100 Corporation and ranked the eighth Fastest-Growing Woman-Owned Businesses in Texas. As a minority business enterprise leader, VIP President Sonia Clayton has based her business model on “quality, performance excellence and customer satisfaction.”
Lone Star Corporate College will lead LSCS’s efforts in this partnership. Headquartered at LSC-University Park, Corporate College works with Houston based multinational corporations to provide customized training, open enrollment courses and professional development seminars. With annual revenues of $5 million, Lone Star Corporate College has assisted Fortune 500 companies in workforce planning and leadership succession, creation and retention of jobs, and increasing productivity and profitability. Lone Star Corporate College local alliances with several of Houston’s leading corporations such as Anadarko, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, Hewlett Packard and National Oilwell Varco, along with VIP’s global alliances in the oil and gas industry, will allow companies to meet and exceed international work standards and the ever-changing demands of economic development. “Together, VIP and Lone Star College will be able to provide comprehensive, customized and cost-effective services and programs to more than 90 VIP global customers and hundreds of existing LSCS customers,” said Shah Ardalan, president, LSC-University Park.
Both LSCS and VIP have defined areas of common interest including: training, organizational change management and professional development. This partnership allows both to expand their offerings and provide more services to meet the ever-changing demands of industries such as energy, advanced manufacturing and computer technology. The combined partnership provides specialized training and services related to project management, organizational change management (OCM), software-related services, enterprise software and applications such as Oracle and SAP.
